The teachers of the Pickerington Band program believe very strongly that participation in music performing ensembles gives students the opportunity for musical and personal growth. Through participation students learn to work as a team, maintain high expectations, and develop leadership skills. Students also have the opportunity to perform community service through numerous community outreach programs. The Pickerington Band Department continually strives to provide students with well-rounded musical and educational experiences to foster personal and professional growth.
The Pickerington Band program has performed in four Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades, five Tournament of Roses Parades, and has received highest marks in concert and marching competitions for over 50 years. This is due to amazing community support and our talented student musicians. We are excited for your child to begin their musical adventure with us as a member of the Pickerington Sixth Grade Band Program! |
